Six Months Post Agency Rebrand: Thunderly Is Just Warming Up

How Thunderly’s Agency Rebrand Sparked New Growth

Melissa Rubin, Vice President of Project Management

Six months ago, we didn’t just change our name—we flipped the switch on a full-blown agency rebrand. BizCom Associates + Brand J became Thunderly, and with that rebrand came something bigger: a louder, faster, smarter way to grow brands.

What started as a new logo and a new name turned into a brand evolution. We combined decades of franchise marketing expertise, expanded our capabilities, and built a team that’s wired for integrated, high-impact campaigns. Think PR meets digital. Social meets video. Paid search meets podcast production. All under one roof, all moving at lightning speed.

Growth, Recognition, and Big Wins after Rebranding

In just six months, our agency rebrand has already paid off. The results have been nothing short of electrifying:

National recognition: We landed on the 2025 Inc. 5000 list as one of America’s fastest-growing private companies. An incredible honor, and a testament to the hustle and heart of our team.

New partnerships: We welcomed powerhouse clients like Kilwins, BNI, Home Helpers, Home Franchise Concepts, Ziebart International, and Burn Boot Camp—while growing deeper with our existing partners.

Media buzz: Our work has landed clients in major national media like AP News, TODAY, CNN Underscored, Real Simple, and Better Homes & Gardens.

Leadership growth: We added Jack Monson as Chief Growth Officer—an industry voice who also chairs the IFA’s Marketing & Innovation Committee.

And one of the highlights? Our agency retreat in Nashville. For a remote team spread across half a dozen states, coming together in Music City was magic. We brainstormed, strategized, and brought the noise with team competitions, client insights from Kristen Pechacek (MassageLuXe), and franchise leadership wisdom from Dr. John P. Hayes.

Thunderly: More Than a Rebrand

At Thunderly, our agency rebrand wasn’t about a fresh coat of paint. It was about brand growth—for us and for the clients we serve. We’re here to help franchise brands scale smarter, tell stories louder, and break through the noise with creativity that sticks.

The old way is out. Thunderly is the rebrand built for growth.

How Thunderly Is Redefining What a Franchise Marketing Agency Can Be Scott White, CEO and Co-Founder Turns out there are some exceptions to the old saying that “the more things change, the more they stay the same.” We changed. And things did not stay the same. A year ago this month, we took a bold step that signaled not just a new chapter for our agency and our clients, but a new vision for the future of franchise marketing. We rebranded BizComPR and Brand J, two of the most well-known and successful franchise marketing agencies in the country, under a single, unifying name: Thunderly Marketing. It was a big move and one taken with serious consideration to the potential danger of each agency walking away

What High Growth Brands Get Right About Franchise Development Marketing

Scott White, CEO and Co-Founder  The Data Reveals a Counterintuitive Truth  After analyzing hundreds of franchise brands over the past 30+ years, a remarkable pattern emerges: franchisors experiencing explosive growth in qualified leads and franchise sales aren’t necessarily the ones spending the most money on advertising. They’re the ones operating with a unified marketing approach, where every channel and discipline is aligned and working toward the same growth goals.  Think of your marketing like a puzzle. When each team works on a single piece without seeing the full picture, progress is slow and disjointed. Success comes faster with one team aligned around one strategy and shared goal.  This is now especially true in the rapidly emerging era of AI generated, no-click search. The Siloed Marketing
