Meet Flynn Monahan, Thunderly’s newest Marketing and PR intern! From studying abroad in Rome to working with the Notre Dame football team, Flynn brings a unique mix of curiosity, creativity, and commitment to our team.

In this Q&A, she shares why she chose marketing and PR, what excites her most about interning at Thunderly, and a few fun facts (spoiler: competitive Irish dancing is involved).

Why did you choose to get into marketing/PR?

I chose to become a Marketing and PR intern because I think it is a creative space that is audience focused. I want to grasp a better understanding on how brands connect with their audiences and the strategies behind it.

What excites you most about interning at Thunderly?

I am excited to intern at Thunderly to network and make connections with tenure employees. I am excited to meet everyone and have first hand experience in the marketing and PR world.

What’s one skill you’re hoping to sharpen while you’re here?

Strengthening my professional communication skills and learning about new resources and platforms. I am excited to get more involved and sharpen my interaction with clients.

What’s an activity you have always wanted to try, but haven’t had the chance to?

An activity I have always wanted to try is surfing.

What is your ideal way to spend a weekend?

Having a home football game at Notre Dame stadium with family and friends!

What are a few fun facts about you?

  1. I was a competitive Irish dancer and I was lucky enough to travel to Ireland a couple times for competitions.
  2. I studied abroad in Rome.
  3. I worked for the Notre Dame football team over the summer.
